New Bullards Bar Dam Robotic Monitoring System

This unique project consisted of retrofitting the New Bullards Bar Dam, the 5^th tallest dam in the United States rising to 635 feet. Malcolm International utilized high angle rope access to equip the dams’ 29 parabolic shaped monoliths with a safety monitoring system. The system monitors the state of the structure using remote sensing prisms, differential GPS, and other fixed robotic stations to continually assess dam safety conditions in real time.
